Have you ever noticed that the houses built in the 60A and before the sport was more detail in its architecture? Great moldings, arches, niches, built in cabinets and case book. Details such as columns and brackets used with room dividers and doors interesting detail.

70A Builders found that by eliminating unnecessary details, which could reduce costs and build more houses which increased profit margins. Indeed, it was a good "business" move, but left everyone with friction, unattractive rooms. Therefore, post 1970 homes lost to an attractive "architectural interest" now crave.

With a new step towards focusing on interior living spaces across the country, making a trip to the local source now produces a wide selection of moldings ornamental details of joinery and wood for a "no to yourself" kits door for the architecture back to our homes.

Detail  is the architectural "bones" of interior design and is usually the first consideration when planning a room to do more. Normally, rooms are stripped of all furniture and window coverings to show only what the room really has to offer.
With some of that detail added by manufacturers, ita for us as owners to put it back.

Gypsum is a way to add architectural interest to a single room, such as moldings, corbels, columns, fireplace mantels and additional details created by the permanent elements linked to the walls and ceilings.

As our country has adopted a new attitude of conservation in recent decades, we are seeing more and more a "faux" (false) items that entered the world of interior decoration. An example is new, ornate molding resin. These detailed moldings seem to be carved and painted wood. However, they are plastic and wooden material holds up well to abuse, putrefaction and insects, and is more durable and long lasting joint wood moldings. Similar material is being used to create covered outdoor products.

So how do you go about adding architectural interest to your room? Here are some ideas:

Use 1 x 6 boards around the inside edge of the roof to create a  "spear". Fill cracks between pieces of wood with caulking compound and together to paint and smoothly. Paint the ceiling blue clear then paint the new frame the same color as your walls. This creates an instant "ceiling tray" that is so popular among new home builders and is an inexpensive yet great way to add instant detail to ceiling. Momentum of the draft by adding crown molding against the new framework at the level of the wall adds a more finished appearance.

Easy to create your own columns:

Create two square open-end boxes pre-sanded wood 6x6Â measures "(Later, you add a 6x6Â" top to each of the boxes). One of them be used as the upper spine, and one as the background. Before adding the top of each of the boxes, attach a 4x4 sand placed between them with heavy screws. Add the lids of the boxes and then stand up and tap in place between the ceiling and the floor with a rubber mallet.
